I've only been back about a week but I've ended up at two drag shows, one a Chicago Kings performance and one at La Cueva, a Mexican drag bar down on 26th street. For some reason, it seems that while I've been gone all the drag queens have gone out and gotten breasts! Not silicone, either, I'm talkin' home-grown. Have hormones become cheap, or even worse, trendy? Even at the drag king show some young fella from the crowd got up and took off his dress and lawdamercy he had boobs!

Still, it was fantastic to see all these 40-ish Mexican guys out on the town with their 'girl'friends, livin life the way they wanna be, even if some of the burly fellas in that bar I'm sure would say 'get away from me maricon' if some guy hit on them. Interesting to see what some people need, or are into, or simply justify with.

Ooh, that drag king show shook me up. They had all these acts, like a janitor, a pirate, cowboys, and one extremely accurate trio of male nerds. Then they took off their clothes and they were women! It appeal to me in a way that I am not at all comfortable with, or prepared to deal with. Pirates and nerds stripping to reveal hot women? Where am I supposed to put that? Fortunately they aren't interested in bio-bois, so I guess I'll never have to deal with that issue.
