The Steampunk World

Being the continued explorations of a living steampunk.

The steampunk world is all around us, lying just out of sight, in a continuous thread of steampunk builders and culture that extends from the Victorian era to the present. You'll find no science fiction here: This is real life steampunk.

Ah, the High Holidays... the most sacred time of year. This year grand schemes of tallrobots and wheelers gave way to a simple giant foam pirate. Somebody asked me what I thought was so charming about pillaging and rape.

I tried to crash a firespinning parade but the parade never showed (lazy stoners). Then I stayed up all Thursday night, rode out to Villa Park to volunteer for CBF, came back and partied at the Dive, got a few hours sleep, woke up at 7 and started my new job at a cattery. After that it was time to hit up the Button-o-matic premiere and then watch the 21 Jump Street pilot with Chopper Bob. Up at 7 again to do more shitshovelin and then I rode The Phantom of the Chopera (my new gothic chopper trike) to a Capitalism Gives Me The Creeps parade. Suffered much abuse from cops and motorists alike, two of whom struck me with their cars on purpose. Then it was time to go see The Advantage (an NES cover band) and Captured! By Robots! and have my mind blown. Now it's time to crash parade #3 at the Dia De Los Muertos parade.
