A coworker of mine drove 1400 miles to Florida over the holidays to go on a cruise. Then her whole family caught the mysterious cruise ship sickness. They were quarantined to their cabin and provided with a stack of Parker Brothers games to entertain themselves for the week. Afterwards, they were given a full refund and another cruise. She seemed bitter about it, but I dunno... a free cruise for four has got to cost a coupla Clevelands, so the two-day drive and say five days in the cabin works out to about $11 an hour to play board games on the ship, with a view of the ocean... I can think of worse ways to spend a week. Well, there was the nasty GI infection. I dunno.
